My hubby and I were watching Top Gear the other night and James May was testing the Pagani Zonda.
Does anyone know, out of interest (or to be honest to settle an argument!) roughly how much the insurance premium would be on this type of car?
Thanks!|||A supercar like that it often uninsurable for most people but I suspect that if you can find an insurer then you might be thinking of around 拢20,000 per annum.|||u would probably have to ask the insurance company for a one off quotation as like any other quote it would depend on yr NCB age etc etc, but i guess if u can afford the car u can afford the insurance. i can only imagine it will be horrendous

How come Pagani Automobili S.p.A.can't have there own Engine...?
Why do they have Mercedes Benz Engine's??|||its not a MB actually its a AMG unit!|||shawn hit it on the head, plus also a little greed plays into it, and i mean you can't be MB power trains.|||Its cheaper to commission MB cuz the R%26amp;D on building their own engine would cost the company tens of millions of dollars.
I've seen people customizing car like the Audi Le mans, the pagani or the lotus europa in NFS Carbon. How?

it unlocks all the cars in the game and u even can customize them.

|||to customize ur car u will need a lots of money. and in nfs carbon its not as hard as it was in nfs most wanted.a fully customized car is matchless. just add turbo and racing suspension with hard tires, to make ur car drift on hard turn.
drifting helps a lot

Are most top range sports cars like pagani zonda and lamborgini's manual?
Yes they most likely are all manual or a combination manu-matic. Though they do not contain a "stick" just paddle shifters and sometimes not even a clutch peddle. It just depends on the model. Mostly all Italian exotics are this way, but American Corvettes have not lost the manual transmission stick.|||i think all are probably manual, top of the range racing sports cars are way way way technical. sometimes these cars brakes do not work at slow speeds as they are not hot enough. my neighbour shows me his ferrari its amazing.
Pagani Zonda F or a Koenigsegg CCX?

The Aero TT is street legal, but the ugliest fast car I have ever seen.
The Pagani and CCX are both great cars, but the Pagani handles better and looks a bit better so I would go with that.|||The Koenigsegg because it is far more powerful than the Zonda|||The CCX by far!!
1st of all, its top speed is 250mph, thats abt like 50 more than the zonda, and accelerates faster than the Zonda
2nd, its gorgeous, the zonda's style doesnt appeal 2 every1... looks 2 sci-fi 4 my liking...
3rd, the CCX has those awesome vertical doors
4th, u can tune it 2 run on biofuel, meaning even more power!
5th, the sound is just astonishing!
6th. u can tune the suspension depending on the track ur on, which i think is pretty cool...
7th, the Zonda is powered by an mercedes engine (made by AMG), while koenigsegg makes their own. Christian Von Koenigsegg used to tune Ferraris, and his experience shows...
the only thing the Pagani has going for it is its unique styling and that its a little more comfortable than the CCX...
go on youtube n look up CCX vs Ferrari F430 Scuderia, the CCX rips it by 5-10 car lengths easy...
the CCX is lightyears ahead of the Zonda... this isnt the 1st Koenigsegg to brake records, the previous one was worlds fastest car for a short moment right before the Veyron came out... now the new Koenigsegg is supposed to have a top speed of 261mph... so expect the Koenigsegg name 2 reappear on the "worlds fastest cars" list|||both are good but i would buy the pagani because it very exclusive and it has almost the same spped of the koeigsegg (220 mph)|||If I were only concerned about styling and wanted to simply turn heads, I'd take the Zonda. However, I rather like Koenigseggs, and although Jeremy Clarkson thought that the old CCX was a little too wild ("more comfortable than what? Being stabbed?"), I believe Koenigsegg has made some improvements on the new model.
It also has the cool vertical doors, and is faster than the Zonda.
It's also less of an attention-getter (for a supercar) than the Zonda F.
And best of all, the Koenigsegg Instrument Cluster dash thing looks very cool and practical (http://seriouswheels.com/2007/2007-Koeni鈥?/a>

It also gets nearly 30 mpg if it's driven slowly. And it has a touchscreen infotainment system, which the Veyron, CCX and Zonda and others lack.
