At what speeds does one change gears for supercars?

The Bugatti Veyron can go from 0-60 mph in 2.5 secs. Other supercars include Koenigsegg CCX, Mclaren F1, Pagani Zonda, Saleen S7 just to name a few...|||a better way judge when to change gears is to use the tachohmmeter ,and go by the rpm,s on an engine rather than the speed ometer on one ,this is how the good drivers actually choose when to change gears on a racing engine they go by the rpm,s and the sound of the engine each engine gives a certain sound to go by,and once you know this sound you can wind it up to that sound without hurting it,it takes practice to learn this ,good luck,i hope this help,s.|||its not speed its engine rpm,,6500 to 75000 for max speed|||listen to the engine when it dogs out shift.....|||The answer depends on the gear ratios for the various gears in the transmission as well as road condition! As each car is different, there is no single answer for your question.





In most cases, these supercars have manu-matic transmissions that shifts automatically or have paddel-shifters that shifts very quickly.|||it depends on what you are doing, just cruising, you short shift it and for racing you max it out in each gear :)

thanks!|||first of all choose one of these cars(from exotic , muscle, or tuner types). you should start with an specific one. try to begin with an easy area with less turns. you should drive more, the more you drive the more skillful you become.


good luck,|||One of the best things to do in a racing game is to perfect your drifting around turns so that you don't catch yourself coming to a near stop just to hit a U-turn or a 90 degree curve. Drifting is quintessential in street racing, as well as, managing your boost (nitro) so that you take advantage of it just after entering a long straight away and not wasting it on a short drive before a turn.|||easiest way to better driving is to learn to let off the gas at the right instances and brake only for limited amounts of time. the boost is only used for long straights. Drifting comes down to throttle control, the more you have the better off you are. Dont get into the habit of holding down the trigger(or button(or even pedal)) the whole time until you are just about to brake. Let off the gas before you brake and give it a second to grip the road when coming out of a turn.|||what i do all the time and it really helps, is when your racing accasionally look at the mini map to see which direction to turn and the angles.

What would make a better first car?

I am going to be 16 in a few months and I took drivers ed. After just 6 hours in the car I already know I'm an excellent driver. I know I'm not going to wreck so ignore the statistics. (its better to be safe than sorry)|||I am not familiar with all those cars you mentioned. I know I like the lines on the Lamborghini. Get the one that is the fastest with the best resale value. Why are there never ferraris in need for speed?

The need for speed games have every type of car from volts wagon to pagani zonda but no ferraris in any of the series why is that??|||Because Need for Speed probably won't pay Ferrari enough money to gain access to the rights of their vehicles. Ferrari might also not want to be associated with street racing. It's a good question.|||I am 110% certain that Need for Speed Hot Pursuit II had Ferraris. They just don't get them anymore.

ive got the game and ive almost beat darius but ive never gotten the pagani zonda f ,the koenigsegg ccx, or the shelby gt 500.can you tell me why?ive only played it on a ps2|||You can only get the Pagani by downloading the game from EA's website. The CCX is only available in the Special Edition version of the game. The Shelby is unlocked when you finish the Diamond Hills course.

Which are the best cars in Speed Challenge? I can't break the last 5 records to unlock Speed king challenge with the BMW.|||For Grip, if you're comfortable with your Mitsubishi, then keep it, but I use a Porsche 911 Turbo. It has really fast cornering speeds, and it can go 240 MPH.


The Pontiac GTO is a horrible drifter, dump it for a Mazda RX-7, that accelerates very fast, and it's easy to control.


Use your Zonda for speed, and when you're done with it, use it for drag and grip if you can't use your current drag and grip cars to beat enough records.|||stick with your evo thats what i have fully moded drift use a rx7 or a supra speed use a skyline r34 drag i have a dodge viper srt10 from cheats

BTW I can't do a spec well :(|||hello, i had this problem for ages, the best thing to do is try and get as far as you can in a spec and spend as little money as possible, then you need to buy (or win) a good level 22-23 car from either the used dealership or the online dealership, tune it up fully and then your sorted no problem. try and do as best as you can in a spec because you will effectively double your money and the cars to choose from :) hope i helped :)|||use a formula gran turismo car or the red bull x2010 and you will easily win it

Nfs pro street: what type of racing shall i use my pagni zonda for?

I've just beaten Ryo Wantanabe in need for speed pro street, and I've got a free car marker so I want to use it on the pagani but I just don't what type of racing to use it for (drag, grip,speed,drift)... please help.......|||I completed NFS Prop street about 5 times now, so I'll tell you the 4 cars I always finish with (most of them I have for half the game) and they're always a huge success (I don't mean to sound arrogant xD), and I always keep enough money to sufficiently upgrade the cars:

What kind of oil should i use for this car?

My grandfather just bought me this car for my wedding its a

Sorry if I speak English not very well but I'm Italian. However, do you prefer modern America muscle cars (like Viper, Shelby Mustang, Corvette..) or European supercars (lke Ferrari, Aston Martin, Pagani..). Why?|||For driving in the USA, American cars are best, because they focus on acceleration, and not so much top speed and handling. European cars are best for Europe, because they have the high speed handling good for highways with no speed limits.

iwas wondering what the best car in nfs shift wa on my ps3 once fully upgraded. i was thinkin it was probobly the bugati but idk if the pagani zonda r is better or the ccx. so basicly which is better after fully upgraded ccx,bugati,or pagani zonda r once fully upgraded|||The Zonda is great, I heavily relied upon the Audi R8. The Veyron was fast, but was definitely hard to handle on certain tracks. Its really up to your personal preferences. I just wish Shift 2 was as good as Shift 1.

Why isn't it sold here anyway?|||These exotic supercars aren't sold here for two good reasons. One is they aren't built to pass our strict emissions and safety standards. The other is they are so rare and expensive the manufacturer doesn't need to ship them all the way to America to sell them.





They only build 10 of these cars a year. In the ten years that Pagani has been building cars there are less that 100 Zonda's in the world.|||they probably do not meet u s crash standards or other u s laws

i have bin told i can get it to 1000 bhp i have bought all the best parts e.g engine, drive train etc and have tuned it but it still only has 847 bhp any comments?|||u can get almost 1100 hp out of the pagani. u need to tweek the tuning more and get all stage 4 parts by using it in races. mine has 1067hp. and it also depends on what mode u put it in. drag hp, grip hp, speed hp and drift hp are 4 different #'s|||I don't know. But, I doubt you have a million $$ car based on your other questions which have to do with Pokemon.

You see all these new racing cars on their tracks, you see them doing racing challenges in the expensive cars(Bugatti, Pagani etc), do they buy the cars, rent them or borrow them. Sometimes they even crash expensive cars, what about it??|||they are 'press cars' loaned to them by car manufacturers to test. the same car will be handed around several motoring journalists.|||I love Top Gear! I am an avid watcher of Top Gear and basically every review of a supercar, such as a pagani, koenigsegg, ferrari, lambo etc... they burn rubber, go sideways, do weird stuff with the cars etc to make a point. Don't the car makers get kinda mad when they lend a supercar to them and top gear shreds expensive tires, rolls them into the field if they brake too late etc..? even if u did it what if ur dad found out after its not dat hard to find out|||You have to physically crack open the dash board and manually turn the dial back by hand. This is a really difficult, often impossible task. Don't try to run it in reverse, that doesn't do anything. And don't try to crack into it either because there will be OBVIOUS signs that the car had been tampered with.|||I am a mechanic and could tell you how but I wont so take your punishment like a man and don't do it again. Ferrari F430 Scuderia F1 spyder vs Pagani Zonda?which is better?

The Pagani Zonda definetly beats the Ferrari in terms of scarceness. The Ferrari in my opinion is a car to take for a Sunday drive, while the Pagani seems like it would be more fun on the track.|||I happen to like both of these amazing cars. The Pagani is wild-looking and very rare and the Ferrari is a fierce and powerful Italian monster. If I had to choose however I would take the Ferrari. Even though the Zonda is better looking (though some people, like my cousin, think it's ugly) the Ferrari beats it performance-wise.

So I think that the Ferrari F430 Scuderia is just too good of an all around supercar (trust me, my uncle has a standard F430 and I have been in a Zonda). Besides, these two cars are in two different leagues, you can't really compare them, but I definitely like the Ferrari better.

When i say supercar i mean pagani zonda,lamborghini murcielago,ferrari enzo ect ect|||I drove my dream car last year.

It was everything I hoped it would be. Made me even more determined to own one.





When I finished had the boggesdt smile on my face.|||Does a ride in a Jaguar XJ220 count?|||i have inside a real lambo murcielago it feels awesome the speed the rush the excitement!!!|||ive been a passenger inside a ford GT thats was pretty crazy, that thing is fast!!!!! and have driven a buddys 72' chevelle that was pumped up to 1000 horsepower!!!! that was also crazy!!!! (even though its not a supercar)|||The best Ive been in is a new Aston V8 Vantage, glorious sounding beast|||2006 E55 AMG count? 1400HP Supra? 600whp 2004 Cobra? CLK AMG black serious? SL65? 360 Modena?|||None of the current crop, I'm afraid, but I've ridden in a Lamborghini Countach (AWESOME!), and driven an old Ferrari 512 Boxer from the same era, and an even older Aston Martin DB5 ( the classic 'James Bond' Aston)


I'd love to say none of them come close to my Alfa, but who am I kidding?!|||No|||I just bought a DB9. Dark blue exterior with tan interior. Beautiful.





My business partner has a Ferrari F430. Have driven it multiple times. Another beautiful vehicle.





Always wanted to drive a Lamborghini, just so I could compare it to the AM and Ferrari, but have yet to do so.|||I OWN a 1977 XJ12L. True 150MPH and you can listen to the stereo at speed.

Which do you think is better?|||Great question, the Zonda looks a lot sexier and more exotic in my opinion, but most likely the Huayra will be the better car overall. And I love those gullwing-style doors on the Huayra!!|||Too early to tell. Currently, there is only one edition of the huayara but personally, I doubt it will be as good as the zonda. Are classic JDM hood mounted mirrors legal in California?

I noticed old Japanese cars (like my favorite, the classic Skyline) have hood mounted rearview mirrors. I also know that some supercars (Pagani Zonda, for example) have mirrors that are mounted somewhere other than the door, so this gives me a clue that they are legal. But are they legal in California, as long as they give the driver a view of at least 200 feet behind the vehicle?

NFS: Pro Street Pagani Zonda Drag or Speed?

I'm just about to buy the Pagani Zonda and I can't decide whether to format it as a Speed car or a Drag car. I have the Shelby GT500 for both at the moment both of which are very good cars however I have noticed I am not winning by as much now as I use to. I don't want it as a Grip car as I already have the Lamborghini Murcielago for that and for my Drift car I have the Corvette C6 which I may upgrade to a different car in the future.|||if i remember correctly i used the zonda for a speed car and the lambo as a drag car.i always had trouble with drifting in this game for some reason but i will have to try the vette and see how that works out.hope this helps.good luck.

Ferrari Enzo or Pagani Zonda F?

cant wait for the new R|||well the Pagani Zonda F is a better car than the Enzo Ferrari because the Pagani Zonda is Lighter, More Aerodynamic than the Enzo Ferrari and the Power To Weight Ratio is more for the Pagani Zonda F aswell Mind you none of them are anymore Reliable than each other because both are Italian.





But the Performance Figuers of both the Cars are Exactly the Same I mean you get 60 in 3.6seconds in both the Cars and both the Cars have a 1/4 mile Time of 11.1 seconds (Coincedence Maybe....), at the Top End both the Cars will do 218 mph.





Both Cars look equally stunning but the Pagani Zonda F has the best interior in its class Imean its Spacious, you get leather, Voice Activated Sat/Nav, you geta Kick *** Stereo with 2 speake's on each Door and a Sub Woofer behind each Head Rest, All Round Visibility is Amazing I know you're Spending a Lot of Money on Super Car but there are things about them that Annoy You For Example you get in to a Ferrari or a Lamborghini the seating Position is not Quite right or the clutch is Heavy or the Steering is Heavy, its dark and Difficult to Reverse but in the Pagani Zonda F you Get none of that and that makes it more of a Hand Full. and the Pagani Zonda F costs 450,000 British Pounds and an Enzo Ferrari Second Hand that is will cost you about 900,000 British Pounds.





My Choice will be the Pagani Zonda F as its More Exclusive aswell Pagani are only Making 40 F's and where as there are 400 Enzo Ferrari's.

Buggati veyron vs pagani zonda?

i would say in a 1/4 drag but that would last 2 seconds so i say a 2 mile drag.|||The Zonda is slower than the Bugatti in the 1/4 mile, but faster on a windy track... As far as a 2 mile drag goes, I would assume the winner would be the car with the higher top speed. The top speed of the newest Pagani Zonda F is just over 215 MPH i believe. The Bugatti can get up to 253mph or more, so in that 2 mile drag I would guess that the Veyron would win.





For actually racing a car, the Zonda would be the much better choice, but for an insanely fast cruiser, the Veyron would be the more practical choice (if a car costing over 1.5 million dollars can be called practical in any way at all LOL)

Which car manufacturer would you like to see in f1?

I would like to see Aston Martin, Audi and maybe Pagani racing in f1.|||I would say any brand under the Volkswagen family. VW would be able to have a well funded team which could easily become a front running team.


More front running teams would make f1 more interesting, as anyone of a handful of teams can be on the top step of the podium at any race.


No more days when it was either ferrari or mclaren on the top step.|||Lada. Why not? Government financial backing, huge production facilities, no foreign debt or over-investment to weigh them down in the financial crisis.





I love Ladas and they really are a lot quicker than people ever give them credit for! The race-tuned ones are pretty competitive, and they certainly have the resources to give F1 a good go.





Being realistic about other manufacturers on people's wish-lists, Lambo tried and failed at F1 already, and probably couldn't afford to try again. Porsche don't appear to be interested in moving in that direction (they had to be persuaded to join up with McLaren in the 1980s, and they didn't pay for anything, they just made the engine with other people's money)...they also have their hands full trying to complete their buy-out of Volkswagen, which of course owns Audi, who have already invested too much time and money in their diesel technology for sportscar racing for them to move into F1. Aston Martin are also going down the Le Mans route, with a probable 3 car entry at Le Mans this year. As for Hyundai, who knows? They just took their first steps into "Formula" racing a little while ago with the launch of the Formula LGB Hyundai championship in India, so maybe they might make the step up in the future.|||I'd like to see companies from all over the world take more interest in Formula 1 as both a sport and a big marketing tool!





Audi seem to be stepping back from their sportscar program, whether it is to come in F1 we don't know, but it would be good to have them





Hyundai would be an interesting one, as they alone of Asian manufacturers (other than Japan) have proved that they can build a good road car. It was rumoured a few years back that they would enter but nothing has come of it yet.





I'd also like to see an American company back in F1, most hopefully Ford. They could source it through their profitable European arm and maybe with an American racing team behind them like Penske. Ganassi or Andretti-Green to run the operation.





Aston Martin would be fantastic, but they're more concerned with the LMP program at the moment.





We need Honda back! They suffered from too much Tokyo interference in team affairs but they are a worldwide respected name and have huge heritage in all forms of motorsport!





One more... I'd like to see another Italian firm return to F1... Any of the Fiat group companies... Alfa Romeo, Maserati... Fiat themselves... I know they have to finance Ferrari somewhat, but the Scuderia can be pretty self-reliant in the future with the cost-cutting procedures, maybe paving the way for Maserati or Alfa Romeo to come back!?!|||As many have said, its unlikely we'll see any new manufacture teams enter the sport in the next 3-5 years, as money is so tight.


On a personal note, Id like to see Lotus back, which for many reasons is close to impossible but like Alfa Romeo and Lancia, they were innovative pioneers of new ideas and from real sports car making companies.


In another financial time Audi and Peugeot could come in and do very well (I feel) but that would leave Le Mans weak.|||If i'm not wrong, Aston Martin did have plans to enter F1 in their early years, but the plan was scrapped. i think Graham Hill was supposed to drive for them. that's sad.





Audi, i'm not sure if that's possible, unless VW allows it. they are really good at Le Mans, that's where they should stick, but it'll be great if they can supply engines.





Pagani, well, not gonna happen. they're not a huge company to be able to finance a winning team.





out of the 3, Audi as an engine manufacturer will be a nice addition into F1.





all said and done, i would like to see a private team enter F1, someone like williams or Jordan. i'm bored watching factory owned/supported teams win.|||As an American I would love to see GM join the fray. As an American I also know how serious our auto crisis is in this country. There are a few things that need to happen before an American manufacturer steps up to try F1 again.





1) Many years of consecutive profits in sales of road cars and overall financial success. (which will be no time soon)





2) More races in North America. That would generate more interest





3) Last but not least I think there would need to be a successful American driver in F1 on the scale of Mario Andretti in his prime, no small feat to say the least.





I guess this all adds up to slim and none: The chances of an American manufacturer competing in F1 in the near or distant future.

The thing is that there are different types of dual exhaust. True duals come off each manifold seperately and continue that way all the way out. The other uses a cross over pipe or exchange pipe. The difference is the tone that resonates out of the vehicle. On true duals, you can hear the difference each bank of the engine is making, this is helpful when trying to diagnose a missfire. With a cross over system, all the sound is balanced out, and you get one continuos tone. Nascar uses a true dual system as well as many other motor sports. The only other time I have seen exhaust that is more than duals, is on older model A street rods, with 1 pipe per cylinder. I have research these vehicles, and they are a true dual exhaust system with a dual tip on each. Hope this helps with understanding exhaust. Take care. most muscle cars were %26gt;13 second cars. Only extremely heavily tuned cars can hit in the sub-8 second range. Usually it requires a huge amount of power, and a completely custom fabricated car. Somewhere around 1500 hp.





and 1/4 mile times arent opinions. theyre tested.





also: For comparison, the average car will do about a 16 second quarter mile.

Pagani Zonda or Bugatti Veyron?

What's a better vehicle. I know the Bugatti is faster, but it looks more like a car car (like your average exotic). Where as the Zonda looks like it was made for racing. Would the Zonda outperform the Bugatti on the track, especially if the track wasn't designed to push the cars to top speed? I personally like the Zonda. What's your personal opinion? Which would you rather own/drive?|||This is a challenging question to answer. While the two vehicles are somewhat similar in purpose, they differ vastly in execution.

The car was built to do 252 miles per hour with 1001 horsepower, though it reached 253 mph in testing, and even features a "brag gauge" displaying the current power output of the engine. Its 8.0-litre quad-turbocharged V-16 (I refuse to call it a "W-16"), requiring a total of 10 radiators, produces a sound unlike any other engine I've heard. To top it off, Bugatti endowed the Veyron with an exquisite interior, swathed in leather and brushed aluminum, and rocking a $30,000 sound system.



But the ultimate beauty of the Veyron lies in the way it drives. For a vehicle with a curb weight of around 4,200 pounds, reviewers remarked that it does not feel nearly as heavy as it truly is, and they generally found it rather easy to drive. This would likely be in stark contrast to the Zonda, which I expect would offer a harsher ride, more Ariel Atom than Rolls-Royce.



Now, to finally answer your questions... I expect the Zonda to outperform the Veyron on any track but a drag strip (though you might be surprised by the Veyron's ability to handle itself on a track). I respect the Zonda for its capabilities and Pagani for the beautiful machines he creates.



However, I have incredible admiration for Bugatti for bringing the Veyron to reality. Bugatti's engineers toiled for years and finally managed to produce an automotive masterpiece the likes of which I doubt we'll see again in our generation. Mechanically, electronically, aerodynamically, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 is a work of art, and if I had endless supplies of money, I would take two in a heartbeat.

I respectfully beg to differ. A few key points...



For starters, Bugatti's executives effectively "commissioned" the Veyron to produce 1,001 horsepower - this was a stated design objective for marketing purposes. Obviously, its engine has much more potential, as made evident by the Super Sport's 1,200 (metric) horsepower (1,184 SAE, if you care). In fact, Bugatti admitted that each Veyron engine produces, in reality, at least 1,020 horsepower, for the sheer sake of appeasing any buyer who might try to claim that his engine doesn't really produce 1,001 hp as advertised.



Secondly, the fact that the Veyron has so much more horsepower than the Zonda (~1020 vs. 650) is offset by the weights of each vehicle. The Veyron weighs in at north of 4,200 pounds, while the Zonda F is comparably featherlight at 2,700. It's true that the Veyron offers a marginally better power-to-weight ratio, at around 4.11 lbs/hp versus 4.15 (possibly even worse, as some sources cite a curb weight around 4,400 pounds). However, the Top Gear test track is much more about cornering ability and handling prowess than outright speed, which was the Veyron's original purpose. It's amazing that such a massive car is able to come within 0.3 seconds of the Zonda's time.



Thirdly, the primary reason for the Veyron's outrageous power output is, as previously stated, top speed. Drag force increases with the square of velocity, which effectively means that it takes significantly more horsepower to accelerate a car to 200 mph than 100 mph, let alone 252 mph. In fact, the Veyron only requires around 300 horsepower to reach 100 mph. The rest of the 1,001 are necessary to reach its Vmax, something that isn't presented in this particular Top Gear comparo.



Don't get me wrong - both are fantastic automobiles, and I particularly appreciate the Zonda's passion, that engine note so reminiscent of Formula One cars of yore. However, for me, the technological prowess of the Veyron makes it the quintessential hypercar of our lifetime.



(Also, the Veyron bested the Zonda in a quarter-mile run by nearly 2.5 seconds. AWD + launch control + massive torque = winning.)|||"Only people who don't have a clue about cars seem to like the Veyron."





There are many automotive journalists and racing drivers that would disagree with you completely.





The Zonda may be slightly faster around a track (And I do mean slightly: 0.3 seconds isn't really a lot considering the Veyron cops about 500 more kilos in mass), but the Veyron is much more of an engineering masterpiece considering. The Zonda is close, but the Veyron outclasses it.





It's as easy to drive on the limit as a Golf. At its top speed it is completely stable and planted, the suspension copes with bumps without faltering at all, and the attention to detail is just sublime. The Zonda has a very classy interior and the racecar-style chassis and engineering methods make a very formidable force on a track but for a road car it has a fairly harsh ride and, if you actually watched the full episode of the F Roadster vs. Veyron, the Mercedes AMG V12 started blowing smoke pretty much as soon as The Stig got a hold of it.





As a daily driver I would much rather own the Veyron but if I was only going to be using it on a track I'd take the Zonda.|||Only people who don't have a clue about cars seem to like the Veyron. It has a top speed you can never reach, and they couldn't even hit 1000hp with 16 cylinders and four turbos (yes, contrary to popular belief it only produces 987hp, they measured it in "metric hp" to get that fabled number).

In fact, in order for the Veyron to beat the Zonda around a track it needs almost twice as much hp as the Pagani, as proven when they lapped the Veyron SS.|||The Bugatti Veyron was judged car of the decade by theTop Gear program, when the same program road-tested the Pagani Zonda ( from memory) bits kept falling off and there was a minor fire on the vehicle, I do agree the Zonda has a very rakish sporty look, but I don't think it would be very practical driving around in suburbia, The Bugatti for me.Oh to be rich !|||If money were no object, I'd pick the Bugatti.
